San He Feng Shui

1. 24 Mountains & Twin-Mountain Five Elements

San He Feng Shui is based on the 24 Mountains, used with the Twin-Mountain Five Elements (Heaven Plate). Twin Mountains combine the 24 mountains into 12 pairs, each spanning 30 degrees.

The 12 Twin-Mountain palaces in clockwise order:

Twin-Mountain Elements: Ren-Zi Water, Gui-Chou Earth, Gen-Yin Wood, Jia-Mao Wood, Yi-Chen Earth, Xun-Si Fire, Bing-Wu Fire, Ding-Wei Earth, Kun-Shen Water, Geng-You Metal, Xin-Xu Earth, Qian-Hai Metal.

2. Four Da Ju (Combinations)

San He defines Ju through the triple combination of Birth, Prosperity, and Grave:

Mnemonic: "Kun-Shen, Ren-Zi, Yi-Chen — Kun-Ren-Yi combine as Water," i.e., Shen-Zi-Chen forms the Water Ju; others follow.

Starting from Birth (Chang Sheng), the 12 stages of life correspond to directional fortune:

4. Incoming & Outgoing Water Method

San He water method defines Ju by left water flowing right (Yang) and right water flowing left (Yin):

• Yang Ju (left-to-right flow): Starting from the Birth direction, arrange 12 stages clockwise. Incoming water should be at Birth/Prosperous; outgoing at Grave/End.
• Yin Ju (right-to-left flow): Starting from Birth direction, arrange 12 stages counter-clockwise.

Water Fortune Principles:

• Incoming water at Birth, Bathing, Crown, Official, Emperor stages — prosperous people and wealth
• Outgoing water at Decline, Sickness, Death, Grave, End stages — expels sha, gathers qi
• Water must never flow through Birth/Prosperous directions — extremely inauspicious

5. Determining Ju by Water Outlet

Determine the Four Ju by the water outlet (confluence) direction:

• Outlet at Yi-Chen, Xun-Si, Bing-Wu → Shen-Zi-Chen Water Ju
• Outlet at Gui-Chou, Gen-Yin, Jia-Mao → Si-You-Chou Metal Ju
• Outlet at Xin-Xu, Qian-Hai, Ren-Zi → Yin-Wu-Xu Fire Ju
• Outlet at Ding-Wei, Kun-Shen, Geng-You → Hai-Mao-Wei Wood Ju
