How to Determine Direction with Phone Compass
Step 1: Open your phone's built-in Compass app (iOS/Android), stand at the center of the house.
Step 2: Face the main entrance (front door), note the compass angle. This is the "Facing" direction.
Step 3: Turn 180° to face the back of the house. This is the "Sitting" direction (opposite to facing).
Step 4: Select a 24-Mountain or enter the angle below. The system auto-converts. Non-orthogonal angles are precisely matched to the corresponding mountain.
💡 Tip: Stay 1m+ away from metal furniture, appliances, and rebar walls to avoid magnetic interference. Measure 3 times and average. Phone compass accuracy ±2° is sufficient for directional assessment.
